Rocket Factory is looking for investors

The developer of launch vehicles for satellites wants to raise 25 million euros via a financing round.

Over 2,800 satellites are currently in space, and the number is growing. Start-up Rocket Factory is developing launch vehicles to get them into space. Now it announced to raise a round of financing. The start-up, founded by the technology group OHB, wants to raise 25 million euros. In addition to OHB, investors so far include Apollo Capital Partners as well as employees and management. Some private investors are also involved.

The start-up wants to build particularly low-cost rockets and microlaunchers. "We will provide the market with by far the cheapest offer worldwide with 3 million euros in freight costs per launch," Hans Steininger, founding investor of Rocket Factory, confidently announced the start-up's goal at OHB's Capital Market Day. Founded in 2018, Rocket Factory aims to launch its first launch vehicle in 2022. Currently, the startup is building prototypes of the engine for the rockets.
