Secfix raises six-figure sum

Founded in 2020, the Berlin-based company has now received its first investment: shortly after launching its product, it has raised money in its pre-seed financing round.

ISO 27001 - for many companies, this is a term that initially involves a lot of effort. They go through a long process for certification, which the start-up Secfix wants to simplify, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Berlin-based company has now raised a six-figure sum in its pre-seed financing round. The backers are well-known investors such as hotel.de founder Torsten Sturm, i-Welt CEO Sarah Wolff, Andrea Lederer, who is a member of Expedia's management team, as well as Heinz Raufer and Reinhard Wick, who have invested in Flixbus, among others.

Secfix intends to use the money to develop a software solution to automate the process for ISO 27001 certification and to expand its existing marketplace for ethical hackers, where verified ethical hacking companies can be found. Secfix, which was founded in 2020, also wants to expand the team around founders Fabiola Munguia and Grigory Emelianov. Other certifications for Secfix's customers will gradually be added in order to offer a holistic security monitoring platform for SMEs. The Berliners promise that with their help, ISO 27001 certification will be completed in a matter of weeks rather than months.
