56,000 euros is Laurin Hahn's gross annual salary for this year. In response to criticism of the business, he disclosed his salary and bonus payments on Twitter.

Last week, Sono Motors launched the "#saveSion" campaign to raise the equity needed for its Sion solar electric car. Since then, the company has received a lot of encouragement on Twitter, but also criticism that the money from advance reservations and financing rounds has been mismanaged. As a result, founder Laurin Hahn has disclosed his salary on the platform. "With this, I hope to show everyone transparently that we at Sono do everything for the cause," he writes in this regard. "We slave hard to get the Sion on the road. And are very efficient and frugal with (your) money."

In 2016 and 2017, he said, he received no salary. When asked by a Twitter user what he had lived on during that period, Hahn replied that he had worked extra jobs on weekends. From April 2018, he received a salary of 1,700 euros gross, and from July of the same year, the amount increased to 2,666.66 euros gross. The next salary increase followed last year: from March to November he paid himself a salary of 4,416.67 euros gross. Since December 2021, his gross salary has been 4,666.67 euros. Hahn's gross annual salary is therefore currently around 56,000 euros.

In addition, there were one-time bonus payments of 8,500 euros since 2016. In addition, Hahn received compensation of 307,852.84 euros for the IPO in November 2021, which includes a bonus for the IPO and compensation for legal fees of Sono points, which the founders must bear privately. Everyone who has reserved a Sion will receive a share of the founders' profits through the Sono points.

Currently, Sono Motors is planning a tour to publicly present its solar electric car Sion. It will start tomorrow in Berlin. Other stops include Hamburg, Amsterdam, Oberhausen, Frankfurt, Fürth, Stuttgart, Bern, Zurich, Innsbruck and Vienna. During the Save Sion campaign, pre-orderers will receive a discount on the purchase price of up to €3,000.
