Stay Awesome successfully closes 1.06 million euro financing round

The start-up Stay Awesome focuses on CO₂ reduction in the hotel industry: already 61 profitable units and plans for further sustainable properties in 2024 and 2025.

Kassel - The young start-up Stay Awesome, based in SciencePark Kassel, has closed a growth financing round of 1.06 million euros. This round was supported by various investors, including Martina Pfeifer, Investorenclub Nordhessen, Thomas Urbanec and Christoph von Gleichen. In addition, the company previously secured a grant of 160,000 euros from the Hessian State Chancellery.

Stay Awesome's main focus is on sustainable hospitality and serviced apartments. The company strives to create ecologically sustainable accommodation options by renovating existing buildings. It places particular emphasis on reducing the hotel industry's carbon footprint.

Stay Awesome plans to use the capital raised to expand to a total of 400 apartments over the next four years. Their future plans also include converting vacant office buildings and hotels into sustainable accommodation.

The company already has 61 profitable units in operation, including the Hotel Hessenland in Kassel, which was successfully taken over and remodeled. Stay Awesome emphasizes the digital orientation of its operations to provide guests with a comfortable experience.
