TheiaX has spent two years researching the process for raw material exploration. Now the technology is ready for launch.

TheiaX has launched its digital mapping process for raw material exploration. According to the start-up, the technology will be used to analyse raw materials in the ground. According to the start-up, it works with sensors that provide images of the occurrence of raw materials. In this way, mining companies can decide whether the mining of minerals in an area is worthwhile without drilling.

TheiaX was spun out of the Freiberg-based Helmholtz Institute for Resource Technology and has spent two years researching this mapping method. Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf supported the start-up in its research.

"The technologies developed minimise the impact on the environment, strengthen public acceptance and at the same time improve existing exploration technologies," says TheiaX founding partner Richard Gloaguen. He says there have already been projects for the mining industry in Greenland, Bulgaria, Greece, the Czech Republic and Germany.
