Thermondo expands management level

The company expands its management team with Madhu Nori as Chief Product Officer and René Bretschneider as Chief People & Sustainability Officer.

Heating start-up Thermondo has expanded its management team by five positions this year to set the course for further growth.

Madhu Nori has been the new chief product officer (CPO) since October 4. Previously, Nori led a 130-person team as CPO at Yoti, a digital badge startup. As its new Chief People & Sustainability Officer (CPSO), the company has recruited René Bretschneider, who was previously Senior Vice President Strategy & Business Development at Adidas.

In addition, Gerke Gersema became Chief Operating Officer in May. Richard Lucht became VP Brand & Communication in June, and Sandra Raßfeld was given the position of Chief Strategy Officer in July.

"We are greener, bigger and hungrier today than ever before," says Philipp Pausder, founder and CEO of Thermondo. "And that is also true of our management team." The company entered a new phase of growth this year, he said. "With each position, we have become even more professional and are working flat out to install 10,000 heat pumps by Christmas 2023," Pausder said.

Pausder founded Thermondo in 2013. In the meantime, the company says it has 700 employees. So far, Thermondo has already replaced heating systems in detached and semi-detached houses 30,000 times, he said. With the new heating systems, more than 700,000 tons of CO2 have been saved, according to the company. Thermondo wants to accelerate the changeover to heat pumps in Germany and thus make climate-friendly living possible.
