tretton37 launches global pro bono initiative for social impact startups

Swedish technology consulting firm tretton37 has launched a global pro bono initiative called Startup Boost, which offers free software development, design and strategy support to ten selected startups.
Swedish technology consulting firm tretton37 is calling on startups that need excellence in software development but do not have sufficient financial resources. Ten technology companies will be selected and offered free support in areas such as programming, design and strategy.
Since the program was announced in June, several applications have been submitted by companies from different countries. One example is a Nigerian startup that aims to solve youth unemployment in Africa. Several European companies are focused on solving various environmental problems, for example, by helping companies become emissions neutral or reduce environmental impact through making the right food choices. Another company has a business idea to increase the number of female engineers.
Startups are often the drivers of innovation and change in society, but the economic climate makes it increasingly difficult for them to secure funding and pay for skills in all the areas they need. Knowledge can change the world, and we believe our Startup Boost program can make a big difference for these companies
Deniz Yildirim, CEO of tretton37
Startups can apply for the program until September 30, 2023, and tretton37 will then select the ten companies deemed to have the greatest potential to improve the world. Selection criteria will include the stage of the company, the background of the founders, and the social and environmental impact the company aims to achieve.
Startup Boost is open to technology companies worldwide, and we will work to select startups from different geographic regions.
Deniz Yildirim, CEO of tretton37
"An important aspect of the evaluation process is the motivation of the founders and the goals of the company. Is it to increase inclusion in society, fight climate change, reduce corruption, improve access to healthcare, or something else? The earth is a big place, and different regions have different challenges," says Deniz Yildirim.
A customized plan for how tretton37 can best help each of the selected companies is then created. Because tretton37 works with geographically dispersed delivery teams and serves multiple global companies as clients, the startups' geographic location is irrelevant.
To apply, the company must be a technology company founded after 2019 and have a maximum of 49 employees. The company must also aim to create positive social impact in areas such as the environment, diversity, accessibility, health or education. More info at: https://www.tretton37.com/startup-boost
