Xentral buys Otaja

Xentral offers software to handle business processes. Otaja's onboarding and learning platform is designed to help customers set them up.

Augsburg-based start-up Xentral has acquired Otaja ERP Consulting GmbH. According to its own statements, Xentral is taking over the operational business as well as all employees. The start-up offers so-called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for small and medium-sized e-commerce companies. This is intended to bundle many different business processes in one place - from e-commerce to warehousing and production to order processing and accounting. This is intended to help online companies with their business and boost their growth.

Xentral now wants to make Otaja's onboarding and learning platform available to all customers and service partners and expand it. This will allow Xentral customers to set up the company's ERP platform on their own. The video portal will also provide easy-to-understand videos on the Xentral software. With the move, Xentral aims to become more attractive to startups and small or medium-sized companies in the e-commerce sector.

"We have already worked very well with Xentral as a service partner in the past. With the acquisition, a new, exciting and joint chapter is now starting for us," says Marco Schottke, co-founder of Otaja. "We are growing steadily and continuously developing our solution. Therefore, we are particularly interested in ensuring that all aspects of our solution (...) are intuitive and scalable," adds Benedikt Sauter, co-founder and CEO of Xentral.
