Zolar increases Series B financing round to 35 million euros

Greentech Zolar has increased its current financing round by ten million euros. The new investment is led by Energy Impact Partners.

Greentech Zolar has increased its current financing round by ten million euros. Ahe new investment is being led by Energy Impact Partners.

Zolar had already secured 25 million euros in its Series B financing round, and is now adding another ten million euros, as the start-up announced. The new investment is led by Energy Impact Partners, a major investor in the energy sector with teams in the USA and Europe, and its Managing Partner Matthias Dill. The existing investors will all remain on board.

Zolar is a greentech start-up and offers photovoltaic systems at a fixed price that homeowners can plan, compare and order online. The start-up also works with local partner companies that take care of the installation on site. "The solar industry has proven to be very resilient during the Covid-19 pandemic. We were able to significantly increase our turnover last year and are aiming to triple the number of installations across Germany in 2021," says Alex Melzer, CEO and co-founder of Zolar.
