45 million euros for Zenjob

The Berlin-based start-up wants to expand to the UK this year and improve automation on its job platform.
Zenjob has closed a financing round worth 45 million euros. Aragon Global led the round. Existing investors such as Acton Capital, Atlantic Labs, Forestay and Axa Venture Partners also participated again.
Founded in 2015 by Fritz Trott, Cihan Aksakal and Frederik Fahning, the start-up offers a platform on which employees can find temporary part-time jobs. Zenjob hires them directly and pays 50% of their salary within 72 hours of completing a shift.
The start-up plans to use the new funding to accelerate its expansion in Europe. Zenjob wants to expand into new cities in the existing markets of Germany and the Netherlands and launch in the UK this year. In addition, the Berlin-based start-up wants to expand its technology platform and expand the team responsible for automating the platform services. The automated services include, for example, the matching algorithm that brings short-term workers together with companies.
"The growing demand for temporary work gives us the opportunity to help people book reliable jobs when and where it suits them with just one click. At the same time, they benefit from advantages such as a faster paycheck and a reliable source of income," says Zenjob co-founder and CEO Fritz Trott. According to the company, more than 40,000 workers are hired via the platform every month.
