7.5 million euros for Nilo Health

The Berlin-based start-up receives money from investors and can thus close its seed financing round.
The healthcare start-up Nilo Health has raised 7.5 million euros in a seed financing round. Investors include Profounders Capital, Vorwerk Ventures and Atlantic Labs. The company specializes in mental health with telemedical consultations for companies. The start-up wants to offer companies a digital platform for strengthening the mental health of employees. It can be used to arrange video consultations with psychotherapists, for example.
Ines Räth, Jonas Keil and Catalina Turlea founded the start-up in Berlin in 2020. According to its own statements, Nilo Health adapts to the needs of users and consists of video consultations with psychotherapists or psychologists for individual employees or group sessions. According to the Psychoreport by health insurer DAK, the number of days lost due to mental illness rose by 41% between 2011 and 2021, which is why more and more start-ups dealing with mental health have been founded in recent years.
Despite the competitive market, founder Ines Räth sees a difference compared to other mental health start-ups: "We offer employees a holistic platform to work on their mental health". Nilo Health works with psychotherapists on all continents in 25 languages and aims to support companies with offices in different time zones.
