Ada Health attracts a total of 120 million US dollars

With the help of the Series B financing, the company intends to accelerate its own growth and become more active in the US.

Berlin-based digital health company Ada Health has announced the closing of its Series B financing round. Following a $30 million expansion, the company has now raised a total of $120 million in the round.

Ada Health plans to use the money to accelerate its growth and strengthen its presence in the United States. The company is seeing strong demand in North America and has been able to form partnerships with leading healthcare providers and systems. This is in addition to existing partnerships with companies such as Bayer, Novartis and Sutter Health. Ada Health also aims to develop new offerings that will provide people with personalized insights into their own health and empower them to actively manage it.

The additional investments now made come from international investors Farallon Capital, Red River West and Bertelsmann Investments. Leaps by Bayer, the impact investment unit of Bayer AG, had led the first part of the Series B financing round from May 2021. At that time, more than $90 million had been raised. Vitruvian Partners, Inteligo Bank, F4 and Mutschler Ventures also participated. Schroders Capital also acquired business shares and became a shareholder.

Ada Health's technology combines artificial intelligence (AI) with a medical knowledge base. It is designed to help users better understand their symptoms and provides guidance for appropriate health care. The Ada app is the world's most popular and highest-rated symptom analysis app, according to the company. Since launch, Ada Health has performed more than 26 million symptom analyses. The company also provides offerings for businesses such as hospitals and health insurers.
