Assemblio secures € 2.1 million in seed round

Assemblio has won €2.1 million in its seed round with an innovative approach to assembly planning. By using assembly information models, the startup enables time-saving planning in which CAD files are disassembled by simple drag-and-drop.

Stuttgart - Stuttgart-based startup Assemblio announces that it has successfully closed a €2.1 million seed funding round. The funding was led by LEA Partners and included participation from Mätch VC, Cross Atlantic Angels, SilverScale Capital, as well as other investors and supporters.

Founded in 2022 as a Fraunhofer IPA spin-off and graduate of the Gründermotor program, Assemblio focuses on accelerating assembly planning in manufacturing companies. By using assembly information models, the platform enables efficient decomposition of CAD files using drag-and-drop. The resulting Assembly Composer automatically creates assembly plans in various formats, including video and PDF, significantly reducing traditional planning time.

Expansion into the USA

The founding team, consisting of Alexander Neb (CEO), Jens Popper (CPO), Florian Strieg (CTO) and Greg Rauhöft (CTO), is delighted with the successful financing. The support of co-investor and Assemblio advisory board member Jens Horstmann will also facilitate the company's planned expansion into the USA.

Assemblio's target group includes companies in the mechanical engineering, automotive and medical technology sectors that can benefit from the time-saving technology. Customers such as Bosch and Krones have already made use of the application, while the versatility of the technology indicates a potential expansion of the target group.

The co-investors, including LEA Partners, Cross Atlantic Angels, SilverScale Capital, Jens Horstmann, Helmut Imhof, Michael Kofluk, Gerhard Knoch, Gerhard Berger and Gunter Deppner, are acknowledged for their support. Thanks also go to the long-standing supporters Fraunhofer IPA and Thomas Bauernhansl. The collaboration promises further development of Assemblio in the field of automated assembly planning.
