The American food delivery service Doordash is looking for employees to form a German team. The company has not yet commented on this, but it looks like expansion is on the cards.

Food delivered to your home, ready-prepared, as a pre-made portion with a recipe or as a supermarket purchase: there is everything your heart desires. And the market is hotly contested. Now the next food delivery company has announced its intention to enter Germany. The American start-up Doordash has advertised 15 positions in the areas of management, strategy and HR. The company itself did not want to comment on this.

"As a founding member of our German team, you will make a decisive contribution to creating something great together," writes Doordash in its job advertisement. Doordash is the largest provider of a delivery service app in the USA, with a market share of 55 percent, writes Financial Times.

It was only in April that Uber Eats announced that it was expanding its presence to the German market. Delivery Hero also wants to return with the Foodpanda brand. In 2018, the company sold its business to Just Eat Takeaway, which also currently dominates the German market.
