ecoplanet secures 16 million euros Series A

EQT Ventures and HV Capital invest in ecoplanet: AI-based solutions for sustainable and cost-efficient energy management.

Munich, January 20, 2025 - Energy management startup ecoplanet has successfully secured €16 million in a Series A financing round. The round is led by EQT Ventures, with continued support from HV Capital. The funds are intended to accelerate the expansion of the AI-based software platform and further support the company in overcoming the challenges of the dynamic energy market.

Energy prices under pressure - companies face major challenges

Energy costs in Europe have risen by more than 500% since 2019 due to increasing volatility. In some sectors, energy costs already account for over 10 % of total expenditure. At the same time, stricter regulatory requirements are leading to additional costs. The AI-based ecoplanet Cockpit enables companies to manage their energy consumption on a data-driven basis, automate processes and comply with legal requirements, which significantly strengthens their competitiveness.

With over 2 terawatt hours of energy under management and more than 2,000 locations, ecoplanet is one of the leading providers of energy management software. Customers report cost reductions of 20% and a 60% reduction in workload in the first year.
