The start-up, based in Saarbrücken and Berlin, wants to provide customers in the B2B sector with a "Netflix-like" buying experience. Now Emlen receives 4.2 million US dollars in its seed funding round.

Emlen has raised $4.2 million in its seed funding round. The money comes from Cologne-based fund Coparion and Montan-Stiftung-Saar's investment arm, Montan-Ventures-Saar. Also on board is existing investor Holzer Group, as well as various business angels, including from the leadership teams of Personio and Finoa. Emlen wants to invest the money in its platform, as well as expand its team.

The startup, founded in 2020, wants to create a "Netflix-like" buying experience in B2B sales. With the help of the Saarbrücken-based company, sales and marketing teams of companies will be able to produce a customized buying experience quickly and without extensive IT knowledge. Emlen's offering is being used by companies such as Orderbird, Candis and Logward.

"Nearly 80 percent of today's B2B buyers say their buying experience was too complex or difficult. We're going to simplify that experience for everyone with Emlen, with the vision of making B2B sales a commodity," said Marc Grewenig, who co-founded Emlen with Kristian Kauper and Max Ulbrich.
