EPG joins Greenplan

Together, the two companies want to make route planning in logistics more efficient.
The route planning start-up Greenplan has gained a new investor. The Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG), a provider of logistics solutions, is investing in the start-up in order to expand its systems with an algorithm that calculates and plans routes.
The collaboration will enable Greenplan to offer its customers a more comprehensive solution for transportation management systems (TMS). "This and EPG's global presence will help us to achieve our ambitious growth targets," says Clemens Beckmann.
Beckmann founded the company together with Florian Merget in 2020 as a subsidiary of DHL. The start-up has been independent since the founders' management buy-out in 2022. The company has developed an algorithm that enables intelligent route planning for logistics. The aim is to reduce the number of tours required and save CO2.
"With Greenplan's solution, we have now found the ideal complement in the form of a unique and powerful algorithm that can be optimally integrated into our TMS," says Marco Ehrhardt, President of EPG. In times of a shortage of skilled workers, increasing demand for sustainable solutions in logistics and rising energy costs, the cooperation is an important step for both companies.
