EPG joins Greenplan

Together, the two companies want to make route planning in logistics more efficient.

The route planning start-up Greenplan has gained a new investor. Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG), a logistics solutions provider, is taking a stake in the startup to add an algorithm that calculates and plans routes to its systems.

The collaboration will allow Greenplan to offer its customers a more comprehensive Transportation Management Systems (TMS) solution. "This and EPG's global presence will help us achieve our ambitious growth targets," says Clemens Beckmann.

Beckmann co-founded the company with Florian Merget in 2020 as a subsidiary of DHL. Since the founders' management buyout in 2022, the startup has been independent. The company has developed an algorithm that enables intelligent route planning for logistics. This should reduce the number of necessary tours and save CO2.

"With Greenplan's solution, we have now found the ideal complement in the form of a unique and powerful algorithm that can be optimally integrated into our TMS," says Marco Ehrhardt, President of EPG. In times of a shortage of skilled workers, increasing demand for sustainable solutions in logistics and rising energy costs, the cooperation is an important step for both companies.
