The Berlin-based start-up becomes part of Phenom, a US HR technology company. The purchase price is not known.

The start-up Tandemploy is becoming part of the HR company Phenom. The founding duo Jana Tepe and Anna Kaiser as well as all 30 employees will be taken over by Phenom. "The merger will enable Tandemploy to help shape the world of work on a global level and to utilize the enormous reach and functionality of Phenom's Talent Experience platform," says Kaiser, explaining the move. Both companies are focused on making the world of work more fulfilling and productive.

Tepe and Kaiser founded the start-up in 2013. The founders developed software to analyze skills-based data and use it to network employees for work and learning opportunities. Companies such as the Lufthansa Group, Evonik Industries and EY (formerly Ernst & Young) are among their customers.

The company concept also impressed Mahe Bayireddi, co-founder and CEO of Phenom. "Their pioneering role in Germany, their remarkable technology and their highly regarded corporate culture are a perfect fit for Phenom and will rapidly accelerate our growth in the EMEA economic region", says Bayireddi. With the acquisition, Phenom expands its European presence with the Berlin office.
