Fashion Cloud raises 25 million euros

The financing round is led by Verdane. The Hamburg-based start-up now wants to expand internationally.

Fashion Cloud has closed its financing round with 25 million euros. The round is led by the European investment company Verdane, which specializes in growth capital. Existing investors such as Heartland also invested in the company again. Fashion Cloud intends to put the fresh capital into its international expansion. In addition, existing software solutions for data exchange between suppliers and partners are to be further developed.

Fashion Cloud also wants to use the new money to simplify the transmission of sustainability data. This involves, for example, certificates or standards that retailers adhere to. These are also to be displayed on the respective digital marketplaces to make the basis for customers' purchasing decisions more transparent. According to its own information, the company, founded in 2015, works with more than 20,000 retailers and 600 brands from the fashion sector, including Zalando, Breuninger and Engelhorn.

The Hamburg-based start-up offers retailers and suppliers software solutions for digitizing supply chain processes. The focus is on data exchange along the individual stages of the supply chain, but also the optimization of order processes and the management of seasonal sales.
