The money comes from a family office. The capital will now be used to drive international expansion.
The Oldenburg-based food start-up Löwenanteil receives 2.6 million euros in capital from an unnamed family office. The company plans to use the new funds to expand both in Germany and internationally, expand its product range and hire more employees.
Löwenanteil was founded in 2017 and mainly sells vegan ready meals. According to the company, it has sold over two million portions to more than 100,000 customers this year. This year, the company is aiming for an eight-figure turnover, which would more than triple the previous year's figure. In addition to the high-turnover German market, the company also aims to consolidate its success on the Austrian market, most recently by joining the Austrian delivery service Mjam.
