Founderful closes 140 million dollar fund to support Swiss startups

While many European VC firms are merging, Founderful expands its role as a leading pre-seed investor in Swiss technology with its new $140 million fund

Zurich, Switzerland, November 14, 2024 - While European venture capital funds are increasingly affected by consolidations, Founderful, a leading pre-seed fund from Switzerland, is sending a strong signal with an oversubscribed $140 million Fund II. In a market environment where many VCs are struggling with buyouts and declining capital, Founderful shows that investor interest in innovative Swiss startups is unbroken.

40 startups, 1,000 jobs

Since its foundation, Founderful has pursued the goal of transforming Swiss technology start-ups into international market leaders. Fund II builds on the success of the first fund, which financed 40 startups and has already created over 1,100 jobs and raised 450 million US dollars in follow-on financing for its portfolio companies.
