Getir wants to take over Gorillas well below valuation

According to a Gründerszene report, the Turkish competitor wants to pay a maximum of 590 million euros. Until recently, Gorillas was traded as a unicorn.
The Turkish fast delivery service Getir, founded in 2015, wants to take over Gorillas. The Berlin-based start-up has been looking for a new financing option since the beginning of the year. How Gründerszene is now reporting, a deal could be struck, although it would be far below the valuation of the German delivery service. The two start-ups have not yet made any official statements on the matter.
According to the report, Getir is prepared to spend a maximum of 590 million euros. Gorillas was founded in 2020 and reached a valuation of 2.6 billion euros just one year later. After several crises, the price is now said to be 840 million euros, as Gründerszene writes, citing an insider. Getir would therefore pay almost 30 million euros less. The payment modalities are also mentioned in the Gründerszene report. Getir wants to pay 100 million euros in cash and the rest in shares in the Turkish company. There is still some uncertainty in the negotiations. According to the insiders quoted, the deal could therefore still change significantly or even fall through completely.
