Software for faster solar projects: Glint Solar's SaaS platform enables projects to be evaluated and developed ten times faster - with the support of leading investors
Oslo, November 7, 2024 - Norwegian startup Glint Solar has successfully closed an $8 million Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Smedvig Ventures, supported by Momentum, Futurum Ventures and Antlers Nordic Fund. This investment will enable Glint Solar to continue its growth and expand the reach of its solar software globally.
Cloud-based software
In the solar industry, which saw record growth of 87% between 2022 and 2023, the expansion of green energy is becoming increasingly urgent to meet climate targets. Glint Solar provides cloud-based software that revolutionizes solar site analysis and project development by drastically reducing time and costs for solar developers. The platform combines GIS data with 3D visualizations to evaluate project sites more efficiently, enabling up to ten times faster site evaluation.
The urgency to use renewable energies faster is enormous. With our platform, we are reducing the hurdles in project development and accelerating implementation. This investment allows us to go even further and shape the future of solar development.

Glint Solar has been on a rapid growth trajectory since its seed round in 2022, with its customer base tripling in the last 12 months. The platform is used by leading companies worldwide, including Recurrent Energy, ILOS and Chint Solar. The latest investment will enable expansion into markets such as Asia and North America and drive the launch of a new battery energy storage system site evaluation function (BESS).
