Home24 and Westwing kicked out of the SDax

In just a few days, the two companies will no longer be part of the small cap index. An automotive supplier and an IT consultant will move up.
As of 20 December, the two furniture retail start-ups Home24 and Westwing will be removed from the small cap index SDax. Both companies had profited extremely from the pandemic. However, the easing of the Corona measures made themselves felt recently.
Due to the poorer figures of the companies, they are now no longer strong enough for the SDax. Home24 is replaced by automotive supplier Vitesco Technologies and Westwing by IT consultant GFT-Technologies. For the two furniture sellers, the departure from the SDax could bring problems, as it at least damages the start-ups' name recognition.
The third quarter became a brake on growth for both companies. Home24's growth in this period was only around 18 percent compared to the previous year. In the first quarter, it had been 55 percent, in the second quarter 39 percent. The picture is similar at Westwing: the company generated sales of 103.2 million euros in the third quarter. This results in a growth of five percent compared to the previous year. In the previous quarter, the figure was 131.7 million.
