Yamuntu receives seven-figure financing

Influencers and consumers can earn money via the app. Now the Hamburg-based start-up itself is receiving money from investors.
The start-up Yamuntu has raised a seven-figure financing round. The backers include Hamburg-based Next Commerce Accelerators, as well as business angels Rolf Schrömgens (Trivago founder), Philipp Frenkel (Mister-Spex founder), Robert Kabs, CEO of Moebel.de, Tim Ringel, Global CEO of Spring Studios, Yang Zhou, founder of Freachly, Gregor Ellegast, shareholder at Follow the Rabbit Ventures and FX Ventures founder Felix Brosius.
Yamuntu offers an app where influencers and consumers can shop at partner stores, promote the purchased products in their Instagram stories and earn money. Users and influencers earn up to 30 euros per advertised product. The founder is Woundioun Sissoko, who founded the start-up two years ago at the age of 19. "My goal is to establish Yamuntu as a shopping standard and to be allowed to work on it for the next 50 years," says Sissoko. Last year, Oliver Krause and Martin Westphal joined the team. Meanwhile, the team consists of 15 people.
