Kadmos raises eight million euros

Making the pay slips of migrant workers more transparent and cheaper - the Berlin start-up convinced investors with this idea.
The start-up Kadmos raised eight million euros in a pre-seed round, as the company announced on Linkedin announced on Linkedin. This brings the total capital raised to date to almost ten million euros. The round is led by the US investor Addition. Atlantic Labs is also investing in the fintech.
The founders Justus Schmüser and Sasha Makarovych state that they want to revolutionize the payment of salaries to migrant workers. Kadmos is currently focusing on the shipping industry, but the construction and healthcare sectors are soon to be added. Employers should be able to pay salaries to people from all countries via a single platform. The aim is to keep transfer fees as low as possible so that both employers and employees benefit. Employees should also be provided with debit cards that can be used worldwide.
The new capital will enable the founders to expand their team and drive forward product development. The platform is set to launch this year. According to its own information, the start-up is already cooperating with the Nordic Hamburg Group, Mercmarine, Seafair and the shipping company NSB.
