The MediaTech Hub Accelerator in Potsdam is starting its twelve-month investment readiness program for B2B SaaS startups. Applications possible from February 1.

Potsdam, February 2, 2024 - The MediaTech Hub Accelerator (MTH Accelerator) announces the start of its Investment Readiness Program. As a joint initiative of the University of Potsdam, the Hasso Plattner Institute and the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, the MTH Accelerator is the first and only of its kind in Brandenburg. The new program is aimed at B2B SaaS start-ups with digital, innovative and scalable business models that are looking for venture capital funding.

The importance of this initiative is reflected in the Startup Association's figures, according to which startups in Germany generate almost five percent of the gross domestic product (GDP). The MTH Accelerator helps to ensure that this figure continues to grow and that startups gain economic relevance as drivers of innovation.

The twelve-month online program is aimed at start-ups that want to complete a pre-seed or seed financing round with business angels or VC funds. It comprises two months of intensive mentoring, followed by ten months of demand-driven support. The program offers individual weekly check-ins, workshops with industry experts, investors and VC lawyers, community learning with other startups, access to fundraising guides, investor databases, templates and tools, investor referrals and access to international tech events.

Applications open until February 29

Applications for the first cohort are open from February 1 and close on February 29, 2024. The application process includes an online form and a 60-minute pitch and Q&A session with the jury. The program starts on April 1, 2024, and up to 10 startups can participate in the first round.

Successful track record of the MTH Accelerator

Since its launch in 2019, the 50 portfolio startups of the MTH Accelerator have raised around 25 million euros in capital from investors. Successful start-ups such as Sensit!, Koppla and CI HUB have established themselves well on the market and emphasize the supporting role of the MTH Accelerator in their development.

About the MediaTech Hub Accelerator

The operator is the MediaTech Hub Potsdam, the only digital hub in Germany with a focus on media technologies, selected as part of the BMWK's Digital Hub Initiative.
