Moritz Bleibtreu invests in Bloomwell

With the new capital, the cannabis start-up wants to prepare for its expected legalization as a stimulant in Germany.
Bloomwell Group has raised several million euros in a financing round. The round is led by Artemis Growth Partners, an American investment fund specializing in cannabis companies. In addition to actor Moritz Bleibtreu, existing investor Measure 8 Venture Partners and a German family office are investing in the cannabis company. The exact amount of funding is not known.
Founded in 2020, the startup acts as a holding company for medical cannabis companies. Now Bloomwell wants to prepare for the expected legalization of cannabis as a stimulant in Germany. "Now that we have a fully funded company, the focus is solely on innovation and growth," says Niklas Kouparanis, co-founder and CEO of Bloomwell. The company plans to use the new capital to further expand its market share.
Actor and investor Moritz Bleibtreu wants to advocate for the destigmatization of cannabis in medicine. "The cannabis plant can help many people live a better life. We should therefore stop pigeonholing a plant on the basis of prejudices that have been handed down for decades," says Bleibtreu.
