Mynaric wins well-known investors in Nasdaq IPO

The company has only been listed on the US technology exchange for a few days. The laser communications company is now receiving prominent support.
According to information from the Manager Magazine several prominent investors joined the Nasdaq IPO of Mynaric. Among others, Paypal co-founder Peter Thiel and Tinder founder Justin Mateen have invested in the Gilching-based company. Cathie Wood's Ark Invest and Christian Angermayer's family office Apeiron have also secured shares.
Last Friday, the sale started on Nasdaq at the issue price of 16.50 US dollars per share. In total, the company hopes to raise about $75.9 million through the IPO, which will be used to further develop its products.
Mynaric was spun off from the German Aerospace Center in 2009 and specializes in laser communication. With the help of lasers, data can be transmitted between satellites. The company has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017.
