Neosfer participates in EUR 3 million round from Vamo

The Commerzbank subsidiary participates in a EUR 3 million financing round to drive the heat transition in Germany. Vamo focuses on innovative heat pump technology and green energy use to reduce operating costs

Frankfurt - Neosfer, Commerzbank's early-stage investment company, has participated in a €3 million financing round for emerging start-up Vamo. This round is also supported by Realyze Ventures from Cologne, Caesar Ventures from Munich and well-known angel investors such as Hanno Heintzenberg, founder of McMakler and MAYD, Valentin Sawadski, founder of Tado, and Max Schroeren, founder of Enter.

Vamo, founded by Laurenz Ohlig, Falk Hantl and Dr. Jan Ossenbrink, has a clear mission: to accelerate the heat transition in Germany by promoting heat pump technologies. This proven technology has the potential to lead the building sector toward decarbonization. However, Vamo sees a challenge in the speed at which heat pumps are being installed in German buildings.

Vamo fits well with our strategic direction and could help Commerzbank decarbonize its construction finance loan portfolio.

The startup not only offers end-user heat pumps, but also a comprehensive subscription for air-to-water heat pumps that includes installation and maintenance. Of particular note is Vamo's commitment to its own installation teams, which are trained in-house. The company is also working on a software solution for intelligent control of heating systems to optimize the use of green power from renewable sources such as solar and wind and reduce operating costs.

Vilor GmbH, which presents itself under the Vamo brand, is a specialist heat pump company in Germany. The company is active in sales, planning, financing, installation and operation of air-to-water heat pumps.
