New Center for Deep-Tech Transfer opens in Leipzig

The Center for Deep-Tech-Transfer opens its doors to promote innovation in Saxony and strengthen the link between research and business.

Leipzig - The Center for Deep-Tech-Transfer has opened in Leipzig. This joint initiative of the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW aims to support deep-tech innovations on their way to commercialization and to strengthen the link between research and business.

The opening of the 'Center for Deep-Tech-Transfer‛ is a decisive step for the Free State of Saxony in the scientific landscape and its position as an innovation leader. Deep technologies are the engine of the future of our national economy

The opening of the Center for Deep-Tech-Transfer took place in the presence of representatives from science, industry and politics. This initiative aims to address a pressing challenge in the innovation process by offering business know-how and proven commercialization strategies for deep-tech innovations, from initiation to scaling.

The venue serves as a link between academia and business and promotes interdisciplinary thinking and action in the field of deep tech. It is aimed at companies and startups working at the interface between management and Deep Tech, as well as companies that want to provide existing patents with sustainable business models.

The 'Center for Deep-Tech-Transfer‛, launched today together with the Fraunhofer IMW, is a statement of our shared vision for innovation and entrepreneurship.

HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, a prestigious business school, has proven itself in recent years as an expert in executive education and is internationally recognized for its outstanding teaching and research orientation. The Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW has more than seventeen years of experience in applied socio-economic research and offers scientifically sound solutions to the challenges of globalization.

This partnership between HHL and Fraunhofer IMW represents a significant step in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Saxony.
