New capital for Vitas

The Nuremberg-based startup convinced two new investors and raises six-figure funding.

The AI start-up Vitas has received new capital in the six-figure range in its second round of financing, the company announced. In the process, the startup was able to attract Kybernautik Investments GmbH as an investor. The existing investor Müller Medien also participated again. In addition, the company received financial support from the Bavarian Start-up Shield program. The exact amount of the investment is not known, but it is said to be in the six-figure range.

The founders Thomas Abend, René Straub and Tobias Bäumler have been working on the development of an intelligent telephone assistant since 2018. This is supposed to sound human and be able to answer standard questions and make appointments. The software's target groups include medical practices and the hospitality industry.

Meanwhile, the company is developing a software-as-a-service platform that allows businesses to configure their own telephone assistant. No prior technical knowledge is required to do so, he said. "The decision to focus on an intuitively usable software-as-a-service platform for voice assistants has proven to be the right one and currently there is a massively high demand on the market," says co-founder Abend. With the new capital, the founders want to focus on expanding this platform.
