Proptech Sensorberg receives millions

In its current financing round, the Berlin-based company has six million euros in its latest round of financing. They want to use the money to expand and recruit new employees.

Berlin-based proptech Sensorberg has raised six million euros in a recent financing round. Investors are venture capitalist XAnge, based in Paris and Munich, and Düsseldorf-based 3e Capital Group. In addition, two family offices from Switzerland and Munich are participating, the names are unknown.

So far, Sensorberg's offering is available in five countries. CEO Stefan Scheuerle explains his plans for the near future: "We will use the additional capital to further drive our strong growth by adding more staff to our development and sales departments, expanding our technologized services and products, and increasing our presence through innovative marketing activities." Currently, 30 employees work for Sensorberg, which has been around since 2013.

The proptech digitizes and automates buildings through smart hardware and software, focusing on coworking spaces, commercial and residential properties, and warehouses. According to its own information, Sensorberg's smart solutions have so far been used in 110 buildings in the DACH region, the UK and France. Customers include coworking chain Unicorn and construction company Bauwens, which was also an investor in Sensorberg in 2019.

"Digitalization in the real estate industry is finally moving forward at a rapid pace and Sensorberg is taking a technological pioneering role in this," comments Bernhard Schmid, who is a partner at XAnge and is pleased: "We are also happy to be there alongside the team for the next growth step."
