Quantum Systems expands German-Ukrainian industrial partnerships with new joint ventures

The Munich-based drone company Quantum Systems is intensifying its cooperation with Ukraine and announcing new joint ventures as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative. The announcement was made in the context of a high-level political meeting in Berlin.

Production of drones to be scaled up further

The joint venture Quantum Frontline Industries, which is operated together with Frontline Robotics, is already active. The aim is to expand production capacity for military drones.

The production of 10,000 multi-purpose quadcopters is currently being ramped up in Germany. The first delivery was handed over to the Ukrainian armed forces as planned at the end of March 2026.

Further joint ventures in preparation

In addition to the existing project, two further joint ventures are about to be officially announced. Details will follow shortly.

With the Build with Ukraine initiative, Quantum Systems is pursuing the goal of building up industrial capacities together with Ukrainian partners and strengthening them in the long term.

Strategic importance for Europe's defense capabilities

Matthias Lehna, Managing Director of Quantum Frontline Industries, emphasizes the strategic dimension. The rapid scaling of production capacities in Germany and the reliable delivery of operational systems are proof of the efficiency of this cooperation.

Such partnerships could play a central role in Europe's defense capabilities in the future. Irrespective of this, the drones must prove themselves directly and represent a competitive product to competitors. Deployment in the field will make an enormous contribution to the drone manufacturer's learning curve.
