Raus lands over two million euros

The start-up rents out tiny houses in the Berlin area. So far, the company has set up four tiny houses.
According to the Berlin tiny house start-up Raus start-up scene received investments of over two million euros. Bavarian tech investor NFQ Capital led the round. Munich-based investor Rivus Capital, existing shareholder Speedinvest and early-stage investor Founderment also participated. Several business angels also injected money. These included Lieferando co-founder Kai Hansen, the head of Planetly Benedikt Franke, Helpling co-founder Philip Huffman and Tier co-founder Lawrence Leuschner.
Raus rents out Tiny Houses - small wooden houses - in the Berlin area. Raus currently owns four houses, but the fifth is due to be built in the coming weeks. More cabins are to be added in the summer - also far away from Berlin. The start-up wants to use the fresh capital to grow. According to the company, demand is high and the Tiny Houses are often fully booked months in advance.
City dwellers can take a break in the little houses and, if they wish, help out on a farm. The company places the houses on the land of farmers or forest owners. The Tiny Houses are powered by solar energy, have a composting toilet and WiFi. There is also water, which comes from a fresh water tank.
School friends Christopher Eilers, Johann Ahlers and Julian Trautwein founded the company in Berlin in 2021. According to the company, the rental is paying off "very well": the Gründerszene reportcalculated that the company should have earned 100,000 euros since its launch in the fall - and should generate at least half a million euros in revenue in 2022.
