BMH joins Blaue Helden in €6 million Series A financing for cleaning and personal care products: Sustainability in focus of investment.

Wiesbaden - Blaue Helden, the startup from Bad Homburg, has raised investor funds totaling over 5.98 million euros in a successful financing round. BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH is involved as an investor. Blaue Helden focuses on the development of environmentally friendly cleaning and personal care products that can be refilled in existing plastic bottles. This reduces plastic consumption in private households.

With our partners, we can now even more purposefully bring affordable, convenient and thus mass sustainability to households.

Christoph Heeren, Founder Blue Heroes

The fresh capital from the financing round will be used by Blaue Helden to expand its product range, optimize its inventory management system and expand its marketing and sales. The startup has already proven that its concept is successful and makes a positive contribution to sustainability. The investment of BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH is a further step to drive the growth of Blaue Helden.

Christoph Heeren founded Blaue Helden in 2020 with the goal of advancing climate and environmental protection through sustainable consumption alternatives. The startup offers a diverse range of refillable cleaning and personal care products that are available both in retail stores and online. All of Blaue Helden's products are made from biodegradable, vegan ingredients and are free of microplastics and animal testing.

Climate and environmental protection is mostly attributed to the corporate and governmental level, often neglecting the equally essential consumer level.

Barbara Spitzenberg, Investment Manager BMH

According to a study by the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research in Heidelberg, the products are 18 times more environmentally friendly than conventional cleaning products. This is achieved by the lower transport weight and volume of the refill powder packets compared to liquid cleaners, which enable significant CO2 savings. In addition, Blaue Helden offers the option of reusing existing containers free of charge, thus reducing plastic waste.

Another reason for the popularity of the Blaue Helden brand is the close cooperation with Plastic Bank. For every product sold, one plastic bottle is removed from a beach area heavily polluted by plastic waste. To date, Blaue Helden has sold more than five million products and is listed in over 5,000 drugstore and grocery stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Now the company is planning its market entry in Eastern Europe with the countries Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania.
