The start-up wants to identify IT security vulnerabilities of companies and defend against cyber attacks. This is now convincing new investors.

Jena-based start-up Enginsight has raised a seven-figure sum in its current financing round, as Startup Central Germany reported. Bm-t Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen (the investment company of the Free State of Thuringia) and investors Seed + Speed Ventures invested in the company. Hannover Digital Invest (Talanx) and Smart Infrastructure Ventures also participated in the round.

Founded in 2017 by Eric Range and Mario Jandeck, the company offers all-in-one cybersecurity solutions for medium-sized businesses. The software developed can check the IT security of its customers and provide recommendations for action. With an intrusion detection system, the software detects cyberattacks and blocks them. According to the company, the software is already in use at numerous small and medium-sized enterprises.

The company is using the new funding to expand its team. Enginsight has brought Claudia Wolf on board as Head of Sales and Nensi Klein and Michael Reiss as Account Managers. The marketing team is also being expanded. This should make the Enginsight brand better known in the DACH region.
