Sodex Innovations Raises 4 Million Euros and Uses AI to Digitize Construction Sites in Real Time

The digital transformation of the construction industry continues to advance. The Austrian ConstructionTech company Sodex Innovations has closed a funding round of 4 million euros to expand its AI-powered platform for real-time surveying and management of construction sites internationally.

The round was led by Capmont Technology. Also new to the investment are Bloomhaus Ventures, Look AI Ventures, and the German business angel group Superangels. Existing investors SOSV, OMA, and 12 Rounds Capital are also participating again.

Construction Machinery Becomes Data Collectors

Sodex Innovations is developing technology that enables construction machinery to automatically collect survey data while in operation. Sensors and AI analyze terrain, material movements, and construction progress in real time. The data is transmitted directly to a cloud platform where construction companies can access documentation, quantity takeoffs, and progress analyses.

This eliminates a large portion of manual surveying work. At the same time, up-to-date project data is available at any time to support decision-making on the construction site.

Greater transparency for construction projects

Especially in large infrastructure projects, mines, or complex construction sites, incomplete data often leads to delays, higher costs, and additional documentation efforts.

Sodex aims to automate this process and continuously map construction projects digitally. This should enable construction companies to react more quickly to changes and manage projects more efficiently.

According to the company, more than 100 customers in Europe, the U.S., and Australia are already using the platform on a daily basis.

Focus on International Growth

With the fresh capital, the company plans to accelerate its product development, expand its team, and drive international expansion.

For the first time, Sodex makes physical construction activity measurable and controllable in real time, thereby creating the data foundation on which the industry will be managed in the future.
