Spree Interactive and VR Nerds become partners

VR goggles producer Spree Interactive wants to make the technology more suitable for the masses. To this end, the start-up has now entered into a partnership with VR Nerds.

Spree Interactive announces a new license partnership: from today, the start-up is working with VR Nerds on the game Tower Tag, a virtual version of Paint Ball. The e-sports experience includes tournaments between players or against AI-controlled bots.

Spree Interactive was founded in 2017 by the Fraunhofer Institute and develops virtual reality glasses. The start-up takes care of the construction, installation, software and hardware of the VR glasses. The aim is to make the technology more suitable for the masses. Last year, for example, curious visitors to a Munich shopping center were able to take a virtual trip to Mars with the help of the goggles. Behind this was five months of work by ten designers and developers. With partners such as VR Nerds, Spree Interactive wants to develop new offerings such as the recent Mission to Mars game with ProSieben.

Spree Interactive already completed a successful financing round last November. No exact figures are known, but according to the start-up, the sum is in the seven-figure range. It intends to use the funds to drive forward global distribution and enter into further partnerships. Spree Interactive is already announcing another one - with whom, to be announced.
