Lübeck - GATEWAY49 is starting the search for new ideas and company founders for its sixth round of the accelerator program. Interested founders have until January 15, 2024 to apply for this year's motto "Shape the future of Schleswig-Holstein".
What does the program offer?
GATEWAY49 is a start-up accelerator from Lübeck with the aim of promoting start-ups and innovations and sustainably advancing the start-up scene in Schleswig-Holstein. The project is managed by the Lübeck Technology Center (TZL) and supported by state and ERDF funds as well as partners and sponsors from the regional economy.
The GATEWAY49 accelerator program, launched in Lübeck in 2020, has already produced various successful start-ups. The 15 selected teams are accepted into a nine-month coaching and mentoring program. Financial support of up to 35,000 euros (for early stage teams) or 5,000 euros (for later stage teams) is granted without participation in company shares. Participants also gain access to a network of industry partners, pilot customers, universities and mentors. New from 2024: GATEWAY49 offers support not only in Lübeck and Flensburg, but also in the satellite locations in Neumünster and Norderstedt with their own coworking hubs.
Sustainable ideas for the north
The motto of this year's round of the Accelerator program is "Shape the future of Schleswig-Holstein".

Stefan Stengel, Program Manager of GATEWAY49, explains: "We are targeting all innovative and sustainable start-ups that want to found or locate in Schleswig-Holstein." Applicants must pursue one of the UN's 17 sustainability goals and document this. The program supports market entry and the development of a financing strategy. Applications are possible until January 15, 2024 (11:59 p.m.).
Who can apply?
GATEWAY49 supports both early stage teams in early development phases and later stage teams that already have a functioning product or an established customer base and are focusing on scaling. We are looking for founders and founding teams with future-oriented ideas in areas such as medical technology, logistics, smart city, food industry, energy industry, construction industry, aerospace and other technology areas such as AI, 3D printing, robotics and fintech.
