Lott will be incorporated on the sales platform for a single-digit million sum.

Founder Dominik Benner's The Platform Group has bought family business Lott for a single-digit million sum, reports Gründerszene. The auto parts sales platform will now be incorporated into Platform Group's online store. All 100 employees are to be taken over.

The Platform Group grew out of the family-owned shoe store. After Benner took over the fifth-generation store in 2012, he built the first sales platform, Schuhe24, which is also connected to major platforms like Amazon and eBay. Last year, The Platform Group was born. Last year, the group sold 120 million items across 53 online stores.

Lott is the first provider for cars in the portfolio and at the same time the 13th industry in which The Platform Group is now active. The Wiesbaden-based company also bought up a furniture shop and an online pharmacy this year. In total, Benner plans to acquire five to six companies this year, he told Gründerszene.
