Traceless wins promotion award for female founders

50,000 euros will be awarded to the founders of the start-up for the development of sustainable plastic alternatives. The Darboven-Idee-Förderpeis was awarded for the fifteenth time.

Greentech Traceless can look forward to a nice grant. At the Darboven-Idee-Förderpreis in Hamburg, the young company took first place and will now receive 50,000 euros. The money comes from entrepreneur Albert Darboven, namesake and founder of the prize as well as owner of the Hamburg coffee roasting company J. J. Darboven.

Traceless was founded in 2020 by Johanna Baare and Anne Lamp. They want to develop plastics from biomass, which would thus be a compostable alternative to conventional materials. "Especially in economically difficult times, we need innovative business concepts that solve societal challenges and generate economic growth," said prize donor Daboven.

The sponsorship prize has been awarded since 1997. It honors start-up ideas by women. This year, for the first time, the focus was on sustainability. In addition to Traceless, the start-ups Doderm and Wasser 3.0 were also honored, taking second and third place respectively.
