According to media reports, the Plural Fund has a volume of 250 million euros and is intended to support early-stage European startups.

Wise founder Taavet Hinrikus is launching a new fund together with other founders, as Gründerszene reported. According to the report, the so-called Plural Fund is to comprise 250 million euros. The capital is to be managed only by investors who were founders themselves or have managed a company. The individual investments are to be between one and ten million euros.

Hinrikus founded the fund together with Khaled Heloui, ex-chief executive of the gaming company Bigpoint, Songkick founder Ian Hogarth and Sten Tamkivi, ex-manager at Skype. The fund founders apparently believe that few investors in Europe have experience in building technology companies. This would leave a lot of potential undiscovered, Heloui is quoted as saying at Gründerszene quoted.

Plural Fonds says it has already invested in 14 companies to date. These include Berlin-based insurance startup Feather and U.S. fintech Mos.
