EUR 1.8 million seed financing for Ankaadia

BMH and Scalehouse Capital, together with OHA, have provided seed funding of €1.8 million for Ankaadia. Ankaadia is a software solution specializing in the recruitment and integration of international professionals.

Wiesbaden - Ankaadia GmbH was founded in 2021 by Stefan Reininger, Dr. Jan Wilmanns and Fabio Enge to combat the nursing shortage in the healthcare sector. Until now, the complex recruitment and integration processes of international professionals were carried out in an analogous manner, which involved a great deal of bureaucracy and time. Ankaadia now offers a software solution to digitize, automate and accelerate these processes.

Thanks to our new partners, we are able to further develop our platform and thus simplify and reduce bureaucracy in the processes of employment migration even more effectively.

Stefan Reininger, Founder Ankaadia

The company networks all relevant parties such as hospitals, nursing homes, agencies, authorities, language schools and skilled workers themselves. A central, digital platform allows all processes to be managed in one place in compliance with data protection regulations. Employers can view the migration status of their candidates and get an overview of the expected availability of skilled personnel. The platform also offers functions such as reporting, task management and process definition as software-as-a-service (SaaS).

We expect the market for acquisition migration services to grow to a total of approximately €4 billion p.a. by 2030

Dirk Pieper, Investment Manager at BMH

BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH, Scalehouse Capital and OHA Osnabrück Healthcare Beteiligungs GmbH are co-lead investors in Ankaadia GmbH. The startup from Hesse has developed a software solution that digitizes and automates the process of recruiting, professional recognition and integration of international professionals, especially nursing professionals. Ankaadia acts as a technology service provider and does not place professionals itself. The capital raised will be used to expand the sales structures and further product development.

We are convinced that the strong founding team can make an important contribution to simplifying and thus solving the shortage of skilled workers in industrialized nations.

Jesse Jeng, Managing Partner Scalehouse Capital

Ankaadia is currently the sole provider specializing in the digitization of third-country labor migration processes. The company is already used by over 200 recruitment agencies and healthcare employers and has over 2,800 total users. Ankaadia was awarded the Rheingau Foundation Prize 2022 and the E-Health Award of the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration 2023 for its innovative system.
