Ongoing protests at Gorillas hurt corporate image

According to a survey, half of respondents view the 10-minute delivery service negatively, with over 60 percent of them attributing this image to the protests of recent weeks.

It came as it had to: the protests at Gorillas and the management's dealings with suppliers are damaging the image of the food delivery service. According to a survey by market research institute Civey, 55 percent of respondents have a negative image of Gorillas, with over 60 percent of them attributing this to the ongoing industrial action in recent weeks. For as many as 14 percent, it makes no difference. The survey was commissioned by the Tagesspiegel commissioned, 5,035 members of the public were asked about the three 10-minute delivery services Gorillas, Flink and Getir.

It also becomes clear that most Germans do not know any of the three providers. In the survey, 74 percent could not make any sense of any of the three names. The younger and more urban the respondents, the better known the companies. In the group of 18 to 29-year-olds, 36 percent know Gorillas, 15 percent Flink and 3 percent Getir. Only 12 percent of those over 65 know of one of the three delivery services, Gorillas.

In the big cities, on the other hand, almost half of the respondents know Gorillas, which is also due to the start-up's advertising campaign. This, in turn, is not to be discovered in the countryside, but the three providers also only deliver in large cities. This can be seen in their unfamiliarity: 80 percent of respondents in sparsely populated areas do not know any of the companies.
