Biontech investor backs One Logic

Helmut Jeggle apparently invests a double-digit million amount in the start-up and receives 20% of the shares in return.
Helmut Jeggle has probably done everything right with his investment in Biontech. He invested in the vaccine manufacturer at a time when hardly anyone knew him. Today, he sits on the supervisory board of Biontech. Now Jeggle has once again invested in a start-up. The investor has acquired a 20 percent stake in the start-up One Logic, as he told the Handelsblatt confirmed to Handelsblatt. Jeggle is said to have paid an amount in the double-digit millions for this.
One Logic is seen as a competitor to the American company Palantir: The Passau-based company enables the processing of large amounts of data with the help of AI. One Logic has thus generated a turnover of 20 million euros. Founded in 2013 by Andreas Böhm, the start-up now employs 20 people.
Jeggle told Handelsblatt about Böhm: "Similar to Ugur Sahin in his early days, Andreas Böhm is a founder with a great vision and passion who wants to build a completely new technology platform and European AI champion." The investor was involved in the Strüngmann brothers' Athos family office until May 2021, through which the investment in Biontech was also made. The three met at boarding school, and Jeggle later worked for the Strüngmann company Hexal.
With the investment, One Logic is said to be worth 100 million euros. The start-up is not only linked to Jeggle through its new financial backer, the Passau-based company's name is also among Biontech's partner companies.
