Compado makes more profit

According to its own figures, the tech platform increased its gross profit by 50 percent compared to the previous year.

Berlin-based start-up Compado has published its latest figures. According to the company, the start-up's gross profit increased by 50 percent last month, if the same month last year is taken as a comparative value. The start-up also scored in terms of employee growth, now employing 110 people instead of 90 last time.

Compado was founded by Andreas Hoogendijk and Emanuel Hoch in Berlin in 2017. The start-up has focused on driving new customer acquisition at companies. The company's activities include digital supermarkets and language learning services. It finds potential customers for these services via advertising banners, for example, and thus aims to bring users to the companies. The start-up is paid per customer delivered.

The start-up has recently expanded its portfolio and is now also active in the Quick Delivery Supermarkets segment. These include Gorillas, Message in a Bottle and Flink, for example. Emanuel Hoch, Chief Product Officer at Compado, says: "We were able to achieve the record profit in July in particular thanks to our pay-per-customer business model, which significantly reduces the waste of advertising money in online marketing."
