Easy Tutor raises 4.8 million euros

Edtech thus completed its Series A financing round. Edtech now wants to expand and develop its own platform.
Edtech Easy Tutor raises 4.8 million euros in its Series A financing round. The money comes from existing investor Bayern Kapital, among others, which is once again participating via its innovation fund BKI EFRE. The Munich-based family office K+K1, which is managed by Timify founder Andreas Knürr, joined the investors. "As the father of two children, I am naturally concerned about what the world they will grow up in will look like," says Knürr. "E-learning and digital classrooms will be the most important topics of the future."
The start-up intends to use the fresh capital to continue growing in German-speaking countries, but also to expand into other European countries. This is planned by mid-2023. "In the coming years, we want to become the number one point of contact for students, parents and schools across Europe when it comes to high-quality, digital tutoring," says co-founder Massimo Cancellara.
To this end, Easy Tutor's own platform is also to be further expanded. It offers tutors for around 20 school subjects. According to Easy Tutor, it works with around 200 partner schools as well as Bundesliga soccer clubs such as FC Bayern Munich. The company was also founded in the Bavarian capital in 2017 and claims to have more than 12,000 users today.
