With HTGF as lead investor, the Berlin-based climate tech startup plans to further develop its platform for reducing CO₂ emissions in supply chains.

Berlin, February 26, 2025 - The Berlin-based climate tech startup ctrl+s has successfully completed a seed financing round of one million euros. The financing round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and supplemented by industry experts such as Benjamin Schulz as an angel investor. The company plans to use the capital to further develop its technology and expand its sales activities.

Efficient emission reduction for companies

Many companies face the challenge of precisely recording and specifically reducing CO₂ emissions in their supply chains (Scope 3 emissions). Regulatory requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), are increasing the pressure on companies to implement transparent and measurable climate protection measures.

Our platform provides companies with a sound basis for precise decisions - and the decisive tool for reducing emissions in a targeted manner.

Johannes Scholz, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ctrl+s

ctrl+s offers a data-driven solution that combines advanced statistical models with specific supplier data. This enables companies to analyze emissions, identify reduction potential and efficiently integrate climate strategies into the purchasing process. Siemens and TÜV Süd are already using the ctrl+s solution to make their supply chains more sustainable. The platform enables CO₂ management across more than 10,000 suppliers.

Growth and expansion of the technology

ctrl+s is already profitable and plans to use the financing round to further scale its technology and open up new markets. The aim is to help companies achieve their climate targets faster and more effectively.

The team combines in-depth scientific expertise with practical application. We are convinced that ctrl+s will play a central role in reducing emissions in global supply chains.

Christian Arndt, Principal at HTGF

Berlin-based Climate-Tech was founded to support companies in managing and reducing their Scope 3 emissions in a targeted manner. The platform offers companies a scalable, data-based solution to efficiently implement climate strategies and meet regulatory requirements.
