Ex-Airbus boss Tom Enders becomes member of Lilium's supervisory board

The former CEO of Airbus is already a member of the Lufthansa Supervisory Board. Now he also wants to support the air cab start-up from Weßling.
Tom Enders announces his commitment on the Lilium website: "I support Lilium." The 62-year-old manager is joining the supervisory board of the air cab start-up. "When Lilium CEO Daniel Wiegand asked me a few months ago whether I would accept an appointment to the board, I didn't have to think about it for long," says Enders in the press release. Lilium is on its way from a "visionary start-up to a serious aircraft manufacturer and service provider." Some of the best people Enders had met in his career would be working for Lilium.
To date, Enders is a member of the supervisory boards of Lufthansa, Knorr Bremse and Linde. He is also President of the German Council on Foreign Relations. This is the first time Enders has worked for an aircraft manufacturer since leaving Airbus two years ago.
Lilium is working on electrically powered air cabs with a range of up to 300 kilometers. The aircraft are to be used on regional shuttle flights. Up to four people can sit in the aircraft. Commercial flights are due to start in 2025.
